A Greek Study in Lines and Shadows

This is the grayscale version of the image that greets you as soon as you walk out of this one particular church, whose name I foolishly neglected to look for, in the town of Fira on the island of Santorini. It sort of seems to take your attention on a sort of mini-trip as you follow all the lines in the photo, particularly with the removal of the color in the photo. I like how one half of the image is darker except for the lines of the arch curving off to the right of the photo while the other half is lighter except for the plant at the top of the first staircase, but of course, one thing I always look for in an image is, if not symmetry, then balance.
